Agbonlahor issues '100%' Jadon Sancho claim after key Man United reveal

Jadon Sancho has not been consistent enough for Man United to deserve a place in the current England squad, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Sancho will “100 per cent” return to the fold if Man United continue their current form.

The 22-year-old has been a key player in Erik ten Hag’s side that have won their last four Premier League games.

However, he was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Nations League games with Italy and Germany and has only made one appearance for his country since last summer’s European Championships.

Sancho told MUTV last week (15 September), as relayed by utdreport on Twitter, that making the squad for Qatar was his aim and he will keep working hard.

“I don’t think he deserves to be in it yet,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“Yes, his form has improved but he’s still got a lot to do, for me. I probably would have picked him before Bowen because I feel in the last month he’s done more than Bowen has.

“But Sancho has to start taking players on more like he has done. That’s how he will get back into the squad.

“If Man United carry on playing the way they are then Sancho will 100 per cent be back in that squad.”

Sancho has three goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season.

Last term, the winger found the net five times and provided three assists in 38 games across all competitions.
