Agbonlahor issues emphatic West Brom v Birmingham City prediction
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped West Brom to beat Birmingham City on Wednesday night (14 September).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the Baggies have “better players and a better manager” than their local rivals and a result at the Hawthorns could kickstart their season.
Steve Bruce’s side go into the game down in 16th in the Championship table after drawing six of their opening eight games.
Birmingham City are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference but registered their second win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Preston North End last time out.
The Blues won 1-0 at St. Andrew’s in the last meeting between the two sides in April but have not won at the Hawthorns since 2005 in the Premier League.
When asked for his prediction, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think West Brom will win.

“West Brom are the better side with better players and a better manager.
“Blues have been struggling. They got an important win against Preston in their last game but as a squad, they are still struggling to find that consistency.
“West Brom have got a good squad of players. This could be the one, a local derby, where they get a result and start winning games. Draws are not good enough.”
Albion drew 1-1 with Burnley in their previous game earlier this month (2 September).
They have since added free agents Tom Rogic and Erik Pieters to the squad.
