Agbonlahor: Leeds United stars ’embarrassed’ by Jesse Marsch after confirmed news
Jesse Marsch should be banned from the Leeds United dugout for a few games for his embarrassing behaviour on the touchline, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the Leeds players will have been embarrassed by Marsch’s antics during their 5-2 defeat to Brentford on Saturday (3 September).
The 48-year-old was shown a red card for protesting when his side were denied a penalty for a challenge on Crysencio Summerville.
The FA confirmed on Tuesday (6 September) that he had been hit with a charge for “improper” language/behaviour in west London.
The American could now be hit with a touchline ban and has until Friday (9 September) to respond to the governing body.
“With some managers, I feel they mean it,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But Jesse Marsch looks to me like he’s in Hollywood and is acting on that sideline.
“He’s rushing over showing his watch and he’s running over here and he’s running over there. Just stand still and just shut up, you put your players off.
“When you’ve got a manager flying all around, arguing with this person, arguing with that person, it puts you off as a player.
“The players are thinking ‘Just shut up, you’re embarrassing us, stand still and give out instructions if needed, but stop all the arguing with the fourth official and the referee’. It’s boring and it’s putting on an act.

“He deserves to get sent off and be banned for a few games.
“He’s pre-planned it before the game, how he’s going to act.”
