Agbonlahor: Luke Shaw may be frozen out at Man United after 'scary' development
Luke Shaw will find it “impossible” to get back into the Man United starting XI, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed it is a “scary time” for Shaw ahead of the World Cup in November.
After starting the opening two games of the season, the 27-year-old has not featured for Man United since.
The Manchester Evening News reported on Sunday (11 September) that he has been struggling with a foot injury although it is claimed the complaint is minor.
Tyrell Malacia, a summer signing from Feyenoord, has impressed in the absence of the England international.
“I think it’s impossible for him [Shaw] to regain his place,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“I feel that Malacia has been so good that it’s not even an option for Luke Shaw to come back in.
“These are very risky times for some England players. If you’re not playing and somebody else is playing well, it’s a big risk.
“Imagine other full-backs start playing and he could miss out on the World Cup.
“It’s very scary times for players. Luke Shaw doesn’t get back in.
“Harry Maguire as well, it’s risky for him. How much football is he going to play?”
Shaw missed the final eight games of last season after he had surgery on his leg to remove screws that were inserted after he broke his leg.
He also missed England’s four Nations League games after the domestic campaign had finished.
