Agbonlahor makes '100%' Antonio claim after what he's heard from West Ham
There is no reason why West Ham striker Michail Antonio cannot win the Premier League golden boot this season, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Antonio is “terrifying to play against” after he continued his incredible start to the season against Leeds United.
The 31-year-old scored his sixth goal of the season in just his as many apperances.
He has scored five times in five Premier League games making him the division’s joint top-scorer.
Speaking to the BBC’s Match of the Day programme after the game, the Jamaica international revealed he liked to see his name at the top of the goalscoring charts and he was “hopeful” it would be there by the end of the season.
Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy have also scored five times in the Premier League but Antonio has more assists (three) than Salah’s two and Vardy’s one.

Asked whether Antonio could end the season as the Premier League’s highest scorer, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “100 per cent.
“The way he was playing he could have had four or five goals against Leeds with some better finishing and without some good saves.
“He’s terrifying to play against. He’s so strong, his goal was outstanding.
“Why not set those targets? There’s no reason why he can’t [win the golden boot]. He’s in great form and a quality player.
“It’s frightening to watch.”
Antonio became West Ham’s top Premier League goalscorer earlier this season.
He has now scored 51 times in the top-flight for the Irons, beating Paulo Di Canio’s previous record of 47.
In other news, West Ham have opened talks to sign a Juventus star.
