Agbonlahor predicts Arsenal fans 'throwing' their 'toys out the pram' after reveal via Sky

Arsenal fans have waited long enough and can seriously throw their “toys out the pram” if they do not see progress in the next couple of seasons.

That is the view of former Aston Villa and England forward Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Edu explained the club’s busy summer transfer window.

Arsenal’s technical director told Sky Sports on September 4 the club targeted players under the age of 23 during the summer as they attempted to consolidate the squad.

The Gunners were the biggest spenders in the Premier League and across Europe as they added six players for a combined £149million.

“I understand where he’s coming from, of course,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“But you’ve got to look at it and Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League for a lot of years now, they’ve not had Champions League football for a number of years.

“Arsenal fans are thinking ‘We’ve waited. How much longer are we going to have to wait?’ That’s the only problem for me.

“They’ve got to stick by the club and if they don’t make the progress over the next couple of years they can throw the toys out the pram. But for now, stick with the club, trust Edu and give him a chance.”

Arsenal currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League after failing to score and losing their opening three games of the season.

Mikel Arteta’s side host Norwich City in a bottom of the table clash on Saturday.

In other news, Arsenal made a move to re-sign a 25-year-old this summer and a five-year deal was offered.
