Gabby Agbonlahor is not convinced Rodrigo Moreno is happy at Leeds United despite his public protestations.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England and Aston Villa striker insisted the Whites’ record-signing will push for a move away if he is not regularly starting.
Rodrigo moved to publicly dismiss rumours claiming he was unhappy at Elland Road last week after reports in Spain.
He said on Instagram: “I’m not a person to comment on nonsense stories, however in this case I want to make it clear that stories about me wanting to leave Leeds and a bad relationship with Marcelo are false.”
The 30-year-old has not started a game for Bielsa’s side since suffering a groin injury against Leicester City at the end of January.
And Agbonlahor has insisted that will need to change before the end of the season if he is to stay at Elland Road.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Sometimes players say stuff because they have to.
“Really deep down, Rodrigo was starting for Spain earlier on in the season. I’m not sure he’s doing that now.
“He won’t have come to Leeds from Valencia to sit on the bench. He won’t be happy one bit. He will want to start.
“As much as he said he’s fine with it, he’ll be very disappointed and if things don’t change I’m sure he’ll be looking to move.”
Rodrigo was not included in Spain’s squad for the recent international break as he was still recovering from injury.
He will face stiff competition from young pair Dani Olmo and Bryan Gil for this summer’s European Championship squad.
