Agbonlahor shares two-word verdict on Richarlison quitting Everton after Barcelona bid

Richarlison will “definitely not” leave Everton this summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward claimed the club will price out the Brazilian of any potential transfer in the upcoming window.

Football Insider revealed on June 3 that Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring Richarlison with him to Real Madrid.

It is understood Everton will listen to offers for the forward if he decides to push for an exit this summer.

Sky Sports reported in January 2020 the Toffees rejected an £85million bid from Real’s archrivals Barcelona.

The 24-year-old endured his worst season for Everton during the recently-completed campaign as he found the net just seven times in the Premier League.

In the previous season, he scored 13 top-flight goals with his current tally at 38 Premier League goals.

Asked whether he could see Richarlison following Ancelotti to the Spanish capital this summer, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Definitely not”.

He added: “Everton would price him out of a move. If they lose him, they’re a mid-table team.

“I think Richarlison better get it into his head that he’s not going to go anywhere.”

Ancelotti swapped Goodison Park for the Bernabeu at the beginning of the month and Everton have been managerless ever since.

Football Insider understands as of June 9 chairman Bill Kenwright is still keen to bring David Moyes back to Everton and has made an informal approach.

This site revealed Nuno Espirito Santo’s interview with the club last weekend hit a stumbling block over the size of his backroom staff.

In other news, Everton have been tipped to make multiple sales amid a “huge” FFP warning.
