Agbonlahor: This was Young's instant reaction to Aston Villa return
Ashley Young was “buzzing” when he heard Aston Villa were interested in bringing him back to the club, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer and former teammate of Young tipped him to see out his career at Villa Park.
Young penned a one-year deal with the Midlands outfit last week after leaving Inter Milan.
The 35-year-old spent four years at Aston Villa before leaving for Manchester United in the summer of 2011.
He made 190 appearances for the club across all competitions which yielded 37 goals and 59 assists.
In his first spell at Villa, he was a winger but has developed into a versatile wide player who can play at left or right-back.

“I’ve seen Youngy play and he can still do it in the attacking positions,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It’s really exciting because of the amount of positions he can play. His delivery is exceptional, which we know from his time at Villa before.
“On a free transfer, it just makes sense for everyone involved. For him, I spoke to him, he’s buzzing. He said once they got in touch he was just buzzing to make it happen.
“I’m sure he’ll see his career out at Aston Villa.”
Young made 34 appearances across all competitions for Inter Milan last term as they won the Serie A title.
He won every trophy in the English game plus the Europa League while at Man United.
