Agent of 6ft top-flight ace in talks to sign for Celtic - confirmed
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the club want to keep Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain at the club on a permanent basis after his loan deal ends in the summer.
The Hoops manager also revealed that the club and the player’s agents are in ongoing talks and are hopeful of a positive resolution soon.
“He’s shown all the attributes in his short time here. He’s definitely someone we want to keep here long term. Hopefully his representatives and the club can organise a deal for him to be here” Rodgers said, as quoted on the Hoops’ official Twitter account.

The 6ft goalkeeper, who is ineligible to play against his parent club Dundee on Wednesday night, has been a huge success since joining the Hoops in January, putting in three impressive shifts in the Scottish top-flight.
He replaced Dorus de Vries for the Bhoys’ 3-2 win over Rangers at Ibrox and played a vital part in the win with some excellent saves from Alfredo Morelos.

Hoops fans will be delighted to hear the news from the manager that the club are eager to keep the 26-year-old goalkeeper at the club on a permanent basis. Bain has become a firm favourite of the Hoops support following his debut against Rangers, and the player has settled in well at his new club. He has already banished Dorus de Vries to the sidelines in the battle for the Hoops goalkeeping jersey, and at this moment it time could argued that he deserves to be the Hoops regular number one goalkeeper even when Craig Gordon returns from his knee injury, but the Hoops boss will make that decision.
