Alan Smith has claimed that Arsenal midfield ace Aaron Ramsey was “struggling” against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old Wales international started in a Gunners front three, as Arsene Wenger’s team took on United at Old Trafford.
He played the full 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw and former Arsenal frontman Smith has suggested on his personal Twitter account that the experienced midfielder was not playing to his usual standard.
Wenger got to change it. Giroud for a struggling Ramsey. Arsenal not testing a makeshift United defence at all

Ramsey has recently returned from a hamstring injury suffered during the season opener against Liverpool.
He has played six times for the Gunners this season, providing two assists and is usually considered a vital part of Wenger’s midfield.
However, his unconvincing display against United summed up a mediocre all-round performance from Arsenal against one of their competitive rivals.
Following the draw against United the Gunners are now placed in third, one point away from the top with the other teams set to play over the weekend.
They will host Paris-Saint Germain on Wednesday in the Champions League before a league clash at the Emirates on Sunday against Bournemouth, which the north London outfit will see as a must win match.
In other Arsenal news, Thierry Henry has delivered his verdict on this Gunners defender.
