Alejandro Garnacho deletes social media after ‘being caught liking posts’

Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho has opted to delete his X account after what has been a difficult season for him and the club.

The 20-year-old has come under heavy criticism from fans and pundits throughout the campaign, with social media being an area that has caused him extra problems.

The Argentina international had been caught ‘liking’ posts that were negative about Lisandro Martinez earlier this season which led to fans piling on him.

He has previously used social media to swipe back at negative comments that had come his way, but now Garnacho has opted to remove himself from that environment entirely.

Garnacho has made 28 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

The winger was pulled out of the squad by Ruben Amorim alongside Marcus Rashford for the Manchester derby on December 12, but he has since returned to the squad and has come off the bench in the previous three games.

Alejandro Garnacho’s Man United future is up in the air

Garnacho is under a long-term contract at Old Trafford currently, as he’s committed to the club until 2028.

Football Insider revealed that Amorim put the ball in his court to improve his performances after dropping him against Man City.

However, sources have told Football Insider that Garnacho isn’t currently being lined up for an exit in the January transfer window.

There could be some exits taking place in the January window though as Football Insider confirmed that the club will need to sell players before they can make any new signings.

This could lead to some outgoings taking place throughout January in a bid to provide Amorim with the finances to strengthen his squad.
