Alejandro Garnacho posts cryptic message after Chelsea transfer news

Alejandro Garnacho may have fuelled speculation over his future after sharing a cryptic post amid ongoing Chelsea negotiations.

Garnacho suffered a difficult season under Ruben Amorim, with a bust-up between the pair reportedly leading to him being excluded from Manchester United’s pre-season preparations.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Chelsea remain confident of securing a deal for Garnacho, but will need to raise their current £40million offer to meet United’s valuation.

An exit appears increasingly likely, with reports claiming Garnacho clashed with Amorim towards the end of last season. The United boss is even alleged to have told him: “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you.”

As Chelsea continue talks, his latest post has been interpreted by some as a possible hint towards his impending departure from Old Trafford.

Garnacho had already sparked talk of a move to Chelsea earlier this summer when he reacted to a transfer update on his future by Fabrizio Romano, and his latest post has only intensified speculation.

While Napoli have shown previous interest, Football Insider revealed Garnacho is determined to remain in the Premier League and has instructed his agent to secure a move to a top-level club.

The 21-year-old endured a frustrating campaign last season, from being axed from the squad, going on a 24-game goal drought, and being dropped for the Europa League final. Now, with Chelsea circling, the waiting game could yet prove worthwhile for the Argentine.

Alongside potential outgoings, Man United are also looking to bolster their first-team options.

Football Insider revealed Man United are still weighing up whether a move for Gianluigi Donnarumma is possible this summer.

The Italian has yet to agree terms on a new deal at PSG, and with the French champions securing the signing of Lucas Chevalier, his future remains uncertain.

United boss Amorim is keen to bring in a new goalkeeper ahead of the new season, with Donnarumma viewed as a possible upgrade on Andre Onana after the Cameroonian’s inconsistent form last term.
