Alejandro Garnacho sends cryptic message to Man United fans after confession

Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho took to social media to send a message to the fans after Ruben Amorim admitted he “doesn’t know” if he will remain at the club.

The 20-year-old played the full 90 minutes in their 2-1 Europa League win over Rangers after being dropped for the 3-1 defeat to Brighton in United’s previous fixture.

Football Insider revealed (January 21) that Chelsea are making progress in their attempts to sign the wonderkid from United in the January transfer window.

It’s understood the West London club view Garnacho as a potential replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk, who was provisionally suspended by the FA for failing a drugs test.

Speaking in his press conference after the win over Rangers, Amorim addressed the rumours, saying: “I don’t know what will happen. Let’s focus on the games, we have these players. Let’s improve the team. Think about the players that are here. We don’t know until the window is closed.”

The youngster has suffered of a fall from grace this season, starting 18 of his 33 games across all competitions, scoring eight goals, and providing five assists in his 1847 minutes of action.

Garnacho took to Instagram to share a somewhat solemn series of images, in what could potentially be construed as a farewell message, saying: “Strong team performance. Thank you Old Trafford.”

United’s win over Rangers sees them climb up to fourth in the new Europa League league phase, with 15 points from their seven games.

Amorim’s side have won just two games in normal time from their last nine across all competitions as they prepare for a trip to Fulham on Sunday (January 26).
