Alejandro Garnacho sends message to fans amid Mohammed Kudus fear
Man United wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho has been nominated for the Puskas Award for his overhead kick against Everton.
The 20-year-old channeled his inner Wayne Rooney to score arguably one of the best goals in Premier League history at Goodison Park last season.
Right-back Diego Dalot whipped in an inch-perfect cross, and Garnacho rose to fire his overhead kick past Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal.
Garnacho has some stiff competition, however, including Mohammed Kudus’ solo goal for West Ham against Freiuerg and Jaden Philogene’s Rabona while at Hull City.
The winger is aiming to become the first Premier League player to win it since fellow Argentinian Erik Lamela back in 2021.
Man United ace Alejandro Garnacho up for Puskas Award
Ruben Amorim’s arrival gives every Man United player a clean slate, with Garnacho impressing in their 3-2 Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (November 28).
Excited by his nomination, Garnacho took to Instagram to ask fans for their vote as he aims to join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

Amorim is still searching for his first Premier League win as United manager after a frustrating draw with Ipswich in his first game at the helm.
Up next in the Premier League is a clash with Sean Dyche’s struggling Everton side on Sunday (December 1).
