Alejandro Garnacho shocking, 8/10 turns it around – Chelsea player ratings vs West Ham
Chelsea fought back from 2-0 down to beat London rivals West Ham 3-2 late on at Stamford Bridge and remain in pole position to finish fourth in the Premier League.
West Ham took the lead fortuitously in the seventh minute as Jarrod Bowen’s deep cross found its way past Robert Sanchez at the far post.
They went 2-0 up at Stamford Bridge in the 37th minute as Crysencio Summerville continued his fine form with a great first-time strike from Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s cross.
Liam Rosenior rang the changes at half-time, and two of his substitutes combined for the hosts just before the hour mark as Joao Pedro headed Wesley Fofana’s cross home for 2-1.
Another of his subs, Marc Cucurella, bagged an equaliser 10 minutes later as he stooped to head into an open net after West Ham had scrambled to clear on the goal-line.
Enzo Fernandez completed their comeback in the 92nd minute as Pedro found him on the edge of the box and he lashed the ball past Alphonse Areola for 3-2 in a dramatic ending to a fantastic game.
Jean-Clair Todibo was then sent off for his role in a huge fracas in the last minute of the match, and it ended 3-2 to the hosts.

Joao Pedro – Man of the match
Rosenior had to change his side at the break, and he did so to excellent effect as Pedro came on and helped turn the game in Chelsea‘s favour.
He took his header brilliantly for a 10th league strike of the campaign to get the Blues back into the match, and continued to pose a threat throughout as he was allowed to roam free in the final third.
Pedro also provided the assist for Fernandez’s winner as he picked him out in a crowded field of bodies to win it late on.
Chelsea fans have grown frustrated with Pedro at times this season, but he impressed massively here and emerges with an eight out of 10 rating for the way he turned the game around for the hosts.
Alejandro Garnacho was shocking before going off at half-time
The Argentine winger was the man who made way for Pedro, after a dismal first half in which he gave the ball away 12 times and was culpable for both of West Ham’s goals.
Garnacho was lambasted by Chelsea fans online for his performance, and the home crowd were clearly frustrated at his efforts, or lack of, as he was hooked off at the break.
He failed to complete an accurate cross from four attempts, while he also did not complete a successful dribble or even have a shot on goal, and is only given a rating of two out of 10 as a result.
