‘Alexander Isak ready to quit Newcastle immediately after exit bombshell’
Alexander Isak is now ready to quit Newcastle United immediately following an exit bombshell at St James’ Park.
The Sweden international has been a top performer for the north-east giants since making his club-record £63million move from Real Sociedad in 2022.
The 25-year-old registered 27 goals and six assists in 42 appearances last season, helping his side finish fifth in the Premier League and win the Carabao Cup.
Isak has emerged as a top target for Liverpool this summer following his impressive performances on Tyneside.
Arne Slot’s side made an approach to sign the striker last week and communicated their interest in doing a deal in the region of £120million.
However, Newcastle have insisted their star man is not for sale and are expected to hold firm on their £150million valuation.
It has long been anticipated Newcastle would offer Isak a bumper new contract to tie down his long-term future, with his current deal set to expire in 2028.
The Tyneside club are believed to be prepared to make him the highest-paid player in their history.

Liverpool to accelerate Alexander Isak deal after exit update
Isak hasn’t been included in Newcastle’s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia, fueling speculation around his future despite the club claiming his omission is due to a thigh injury.
The Mail reported on 24 July the forward has now told St James’ Park chiefs he wants to explore a move away from the club.
It comes after Football Insider revealed on 18 July Liverpool could accelerate their efforts to sign Isak if he pushes to leave Newcastle.
However, it’s unknown whether the Reds have the funds to complete a deal for the Swede after agreeing to sign Hugo Ekitike for £79million from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The speculation has caused unrest on Tyneside as Newcastle believe Liverpool have been trying to unsettle Isak by making their interest public in recent weeks.
Alexander Isak could agree big-money Saudi deal
If Liverpool are unable to agree a deal for Isak, there is unlikely to be many clubs that can pay Newcastle’s asking price.
ESPN reported on 22 July Al-Hilal have explored a move for the striker this summer, but there has been no formal contact with Eddie Howe’s side.
It’s unclear whether Isak would be keen on joining the Saudi Pro League side, who are also owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) alongside Newcastle.
However, Al-Hilal would be able to offer him a big-money deal as they are the most valuable club in the Middle Eastern country.
