Alexis Mac Allister gets Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch messages from Liverpool win
Darwin Nunez and Ryan Gravenberch have paid tribute to Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister following their win over Southampton.
Arne Slot’s side moved three points closer to the Premier League title on Saturday (8 March) with victory over the Saints at Anfield.
After a mix-up at the back had gifted the struggling visitors the lead on the stroke of half time, Liverpool thought back to claim all three points in a 3-1 win.
Not surprisingly, that has generated a positive mood among the Reds squad as they reflected on that game.
Following the impact he made in that game, Mac Allister is one of those who has come in for some praise.

The Argentine international had dropped to the bench for the start of the game, but was one of three substitutes introduced at the break by Slot with his side trailing.
Mac Allister’s presence on the pitch helped bring out a much-improved performance from Liverpool, who quickly levelled through Nunez.
Two Mo Salah penalties – the second after a bizarre handball from Southampton defender Yuki Sugawara – then confirmed all three points for the Premier League leaders.

Gravenberch was also among those to react to the post, with the fellow Liverpool midfielder simply commenting with two flame emojis.

Football Insider Verdict
While Arsenal may have two games in hand, at this stage of the season it is hard to see how Slot’s side do not win the Premier League.
That 16 point advantage Liverpool have is a huge one at this stage of the season, and it is hard to see them slipping up enough to gift the Gunners the chance to hunt them down as the games run out.
It was an excellent response to a below-par first half that showed the resilience there is in this team, which will only add to the belief they are going to take this all the way.
Indeed, not even Salah’s concern about Liverpool making too many substitutions could stop them here.
With a Carabao Cup final to come, and he Champions League campaign, this could be an incredible season for the Anfield club.
As a result, it is no surprise to see spirits are high within the squad at this moment in time.
