Alisson Becker ‘out until next year’ after injury blow – Liverpool fans react

Liverpool fans are convinced it will be some time before goalkeeper Alisson returns after picking up an injury in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday (October 5).

The 32-year-old clutched his hamstring and went down after making a routine clearance and was replaced by summer signing Vitezslav Jaros in the 79th minute.

The Brazil international has the worst injury record among Premier League goalkeepers, missing 15 games for club and country with a similar injury last season.

Despite not having much to do throughout the game, Alisson was at his best to save a beautifully struck shot from Eberechi Eze in the 71st minute.

Football Insider revealed (October 4) that Liverpool were interested in brining Eze to Anfield as a potential replacement for Dominik Szoboszlai.

Diogo Jota’s ninth-minute goal was enough to secure all three points at Selhurst Park, giving Liverpool a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool fans sweat over Alisson injury

Unsurprisingly, the Brazilian has played every minute for Arne Slot’s side so far this season, cementing his position as one of the club’s most important players.

Losing him could prove catastrophic in the club’s challenge for silverware, and fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, to express their concerns.
