Allan McGregor will be 'annoyed' and 'hurting' amid Rangers injury update - expert
Alan Hutton has claimed Allan McGregor will be “hurting” at Rangers due to a lack of game time.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers right-back said McGregor will be “annoyed” that he’s not playing games but will be ready when called upon.
The 40-year-old has only started one game for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side this season.
Jon McLaughlin has been first choice for the Light Blues.
The 35-year-old was between the sticks for the Gers’ back to back 4-0 defeats against Celtic and Ajax.
As reported by the BBC (13 September), McLaughlin picked up an injury ahead of the Champions League game against Napoli.

McGregor is set to the starting lineup for the European clash.
Hutton claimed his ex-teammate McGregor will be ready to take the opportunity.
“He doesn’t want to just sit there just to play the cup games,” he told Football Insider.
“All he can do is remain professional, work hard and try and force his way in. When the opportunity comes he will be ready to take it.
“Of course he’ll be hurting. But, the one thing I would say about him is that he’s professional in that way. He’ll be working hard every day in training, he’ll be giving all his knowledge and know-how to Jon McLaughlin and helping him through what is a difficult period of time as well.
“Of course he’ll be annoyed. He’s a winner, he’s won a lot for the club, he’s been there a long time and he’ll want to play games there’s no doubt about that.“
