Allan Saint-Maximin set to leave Newcastle after source’s reveal – Agbonlahor
The Newcastle pursuit of Harvey Barnes looks set to spell the end of Allan Saint-Maximin’s time at St James Park.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that the arrival of Barnes, should permit Saint-Maximin to depart from the club.
Saint-Maximin is emerging as the latest Premier League star to be targeted by the Saudi Pro League alongside interest from the Premier League with Everton and Crystal Palace also keeping tabs on the player.
This development comes after Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (6 June) that Newcastle will consider offers for Saint-Maximin this summer in a bid to raise transfer funds.
Newcastle are hoping to sign Harvey Barnes as Football Insider revealed on Friday (7 July) that the Magpies and manager Eddie Howe are pushing to complete a deal for the 25-year-old this summer.
Amid Barnes’ potential incoming, Agbonlahor believes that he is a valid replacement for Saint-Maximin, as the Magpies are already strong in the wide areas.
“If Barnes signs, Saint-Maximin has to go,”He told Football Insider.
“They already have Miguel Almiron, Anthony Gordon, Jacob Murphy as options so they would let him go.

“Even last season he was fit, he didn’t get to start too many games, so he’s a good player, but can be unreliable with goals and assists.
“He can also be irratic with his end product and rash with his finishing and maybe Newcastle are now going into different places.
