Ally McCoist makes Marcus Rashford to Bayern Munich claim as Man United exit looms
Ally McCoist has provided his opinion on the news that Man United star Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
The England international remains out of favour at Old Trafford, after enjoying a loan spell with Aston Villa last season.
Amid Man United’s desire to part company with the 27-year-old once more, Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Rashford.
While he was on loan with Villa, the forward notched four goals and five assists in 17 appearances for the West Midlands club.

McCoist shocked as Bayern eye move for Man United star Rashford
Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Man United are expecting low offers for Rashford this summer as they look to sanction his exit.
Meanwhile, speaking about Bayern’s interest in the England star live on talkSPORT [2 July], McCoist said: “I’m not sure he did enough at Villa to get himself a move to Bayern Munich by the way.
“Am I wrong? Am I missing something? I thought he did okay at Villa.”
Rashford should favour Bayern move over Barcelona
Football Insider verdict
While Rashford did well to notch nine goal contributions in 17 appearances for Unai Emery’s side, McCoist is right to question whether that sort of form is enough to hand the Man United man a place in one of the best teams in Europe.

Vincent Kompany’s men clinched their 34th German top-flight title last season and boast aspirations of winning this summer’s Club World Cup as well as next season’s Champions League.
Meanwhile, football finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider that Barcelona could land a deal for Rashford ahead of next campaign.
But the Red Devils star would find it incredibly difficult to break into a side that boast world-class talents such as Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski in attack.
As alluded to by McCoist, Bayern have also been performing at a level above that of Rashford in recent seasons, but there is a potential vacancy for the former Villa man to seize after Leroy Sane joined Galatasaray.
