'They have always supported me' - Celtic top prospect salutes the fans

Kieran Tierney has saluted the Celtic fans who have supported him since he made his Celtic debut.

The 20-year-old, has gone from strength-to-strength since making his debut for the Bhoys back in 2015.

Speaking to Celtic’s official website, the highly-rated left-back said:

“The Celtic fans know what they mean to me. From the first day I came on at Dundee away, they were brilliant with me and they gave me time to settle in.

“They have always supported me and even if I haven’t played as well, they have always given me a chance and backed me.

“Saying thanks to them is not enough. That’s why I play the best I can and hopefully reward them with good performances and goals and doing as much I can to help the team.”

Tierney has become of the hottest properties in football in the past two seasons, a fact highlighted by his recent superb performance against Bayern Munich at Celtic Park in the Champions League Groups Stages.

He has also impressed for Scotland despite playing as a right-back, and not in his natural left-back position.

Rumours have recently linked Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United with the player, with reports claiming that Tottenham are leading the race for the player.
