Amad Diallo breaks silence to Man United fans with heartfelt ‘apology’
Amad posted an emotional message to Man United supporters after the side lost the Europa League final.
Man United’s nightmare season continued on Wednesday (21 May), as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham in the Europa League final, ending any hopes of salvaging a disappointing campaign.
The result means Man United will miss out on European football next season for the first time in over a decade, with serious financial consequences expected to follow.
Frustrated fans have now turned their anger towards the manager, with Man United supporters calling for Amorim’s dismissal following what has been a dire year.
The Europa League had become their last shot at redemption after a disastrous domestic run that sees them languishing in 16th place.
Meanwhile, Amad had a poor performance on the night as he couldn’t create any substantial chances. But in the aftermath, he became the first notable player to share a heartfelt message with supporters.

Amad apologises to Man United fans following Europa League final defeat
The winger has been one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise disappointing season for United and is the first notable player to address the fans after their Europa League final loss.
Amad posted on X with the message:
“First of all, I would like to congratulate Tottenham on their victory, and then apologize to all Manchester fans around the world.
“It’s been an unacceptable season, and no one can deny that, but we always put our motivation on the pitch.
“I promise you that a season like this will never happen again at this great club.
“Thank you all for your support throughout the season; you’ve been by our side no matter what.”
Amad has faced numerous injuries this season but has impressed when fit, stepping up at a crucial time for the club.
With Marcus Rashford and Antony both departing in the winter window, greater responsibility fell on the 22-year-old’s shoulders, and he’s delivered.
The Ivorian has notched 10 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions this season, offering a reliable outlet both on the right flank and in more central attacking roles.

Ruben Amorim expected to remain as Man United manager despite fan unrest
Despite growing discontent among the fanbase, Football Insider revealed Man United are set to keep faith in Amorim, at least for now.
Amorim has come under immense pressure this season, with United currently 16th in the Premier League and having won just six matches since his appointment in November.
However, reports suggest Sir Jim Ratcliffe has no plans to part ways with Amorim and would even reject a resignation should the manager offer it.
United’s lack of European football next season and their dismal league position are expected to significantly impact summer transfer activity. Still, the club hierarchy appear determined to back the manager into the new campaign.
