Amad Diallo sends message to Man United fans after jaw-dropping twist
Man United ace Amad Diallo has taken to social media to celebrate his remarkable hattrick in their 3-1 Premier League win over Southampton on Thursday (January 16).
The 22-year-old snatched a win from the jaws of defeat against the South Coast club, scoring three goals in the last 12 minutes of the game.
Southampton opened the scoring just before half-time through an own-goal by Manuel Ugarte, their tenth conceded from a corner this season.
Ivan Juric looked set for his first win since taking over in December before Diallo scored his first in the 82nd minute after some pinball in the Southampton box.
The Ivorian then gave the home side the lead eight minutes later, latching on to Christian Eriksen’s lofted pass and beating Aaron Ramsdale on the volley.
He scored his third in added time, capitalising on a shocking attempt to play out from the back by Southampton.
Amad Diallo a big game player as Man United secure a much-needed win over Southampton
Diallo has arguably been United’s player of the season so far, starting 19 of his 30 games across all competitions, scoring nine goals, and providing seven assists in his 1829 minutes of action.
1038 of those minutes and 11 of his goal involvements have come since Ruben Amorim took over, including crucial goals against Man City, Liverpool, and now a hattrick against Southampton.
The Winger took to Instagram after the win over Southampton, simply captioning his post with a muscle emoji.

United have four games remaining in January alone, including a trip to Rangers in the Europa League, one of Diallo’s former loan clubs.
Amorim’s attention will doubtless be on their next Premier League game on Sunday (January 19), as they seek to keep the good times rolling for their trip to Brighton.
In other news, Marcus Rashford rages in explosive new message as online ‘photo of me’ emerges.
