Amadou Onana move to club ‘bigger than West Ham’ for ‘huge fee’ is ‘inevitable’ – O’Rourke
It is ‘inevitable’ that Amadou Onana will be sold this summer if Everton are relegated, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed he has been told that the Toffees would receive a “huge” transfer fee for the Belgian midfielder.
Onana has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs this season including Newcastle United, Arsenal and West Ham.
As revealed by Football Insider, West Ham are keen on striking a deal for the 22-year-old this summer after previously holding talks over his signature.
Everton are currently tackling financial issues after two breaches of financial regulations, and they will be forced to balance the books if they are relegated to the Championship.
Sean Dyche’s side currently sit 16th in the Premier League – four points adrift from the relegation zone – but the Toffees face a potential second points deduction this season.
Everton will lose Amadou Onana this summer if relegated – Barcelona interested
Football Insider previously revealed in February that Everton will ask for a fee between £50-£60million to allow Onana to leave.
Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, O’Rourke believes an Everton exit will be “inevitable” for Onana if the Merseyside club are relegated.
“If Everton were to suffer relegation then it’s inevitable that Onana will be moved on for a huge transfer fee,” he said.

“I think it’s going to be hard for West Ham to win the race for Onana’s signature in the summer.
“I think there will be bigger clubs with bigger budgets looking to sign Onana – and there has been talk of Barcelona being interested in him as well.“
