‘Amorim’s furious threat to Garnacho emerges at Man United’ – ‘You better pray’
Ruben Amorim left few Man United players in doubt over Alejandro Garnacho’s future after his bombshell threat to the winger.
The Argentine was a key figure in the Red Devils’ starting lineup for much of the 2024/25 campaign, notching 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions.
However, his attitude on and off the pitch has landed him in hot water ahead of the summer transfer window, with Mick Brown telling Football Insider that Chelsea’s offer for Garnacho could be accepted.
Despite his impact throughout the season, the winger was given just 20 minutes in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, causing him and his brother to speak out about the injustice after the final whistle.
Now, it appears his actions and poor choices at Old Trafford have caused a massive wedge between himself and Amorim, with the former being told to find a new club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Alejandro Garnacho told to find new club by Ruben Amorim
According to the Daily Mail (27 May), Amorim was incredibly angry with Garnacho, telling the Argentine, “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you” rather than return to Carrington for pre-season training.
The 20-year-old was effectively kicked out of the club during the team meeting on Saturday, 24 May, after upsetting the manager with his comments after the Europa League final, a game in which he only got 20 minutes on the pitch.
United have refused to comment on private dressing-room conversations.

Ruben Amorim ready to rebuild Man United squad ahead of 2025/26 campaign
Football Insider verdict
Amorim is clearly in no mood to mess about following an incredibly difficult season, especially one that smears his managerial record after impressing at Sporting CP in Portugal.
The 40-year-old was ultimately forced to take the job halfway through the season, with the Red Devils wanting to replace Erik ten Hag as quickly as possible, but it has not worked out at all.
Finishing the season 15th in the Premier League table, losing the Europa League final and helping Tottenham end their 17-year trophy drought, and now falling out with one of the players.

This is not what Amorim would have dreamed of when turning up at Old Trafford for the first time, but getting the club back to where it used to be will be a long and difficult journey.
Amorim is already under pressure from the Man United faithful, and given the history of the club, it is understandable. But if he is to be the man to turn things around, he needs support from everyone at Old Trafford.
The drawn-out process will include getting rid of deadweight, such as Garnacho, with Andre Onana, Victor Lindelof, Mason Mount, and Rasmus Hojlund expected to find new clubs this summer too.
