Andoni Iraola slammed for tactical error in Bournemouth vs Man City, ‘It’s obvious’
Bournemouth’s 3-1 defeat at Man City could have been avoided if Andoni Iraola did not make one tactical mistake.
Erling Haaland scored twice alongside a second half Nico O’Reilly goal to give Man City a comfortable victory despite Tyer Adams’ first half eqauliser.
Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest a week earlier had lifted the Cherries up to second in the Premier League table.
Defeat at the Etihad though drops Iraola’s side to fourth in the table and seven points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Paul Robinson doesn’t understand Andoni Iraola decision
Iraola has been linked to Premier League vacancies due to the superb job he has done at Bournemouth.
However, speaking to BBC Sport, [2nd November], Paul Robinson was left perplexed by the Spaniard’s decision to play a high line.
“I don’t understand why Bournemouth are persisting with this high line,” Robinson said.
“It’s obvious – such a high line.

“The two central defenders are playing so far up the pitch that every time Manchester City turnover possession, they immediately look for that run of [Erling] Haaland.”
Marco Senesi has stepped up in Dean Huijsen’s absence since the centre-back departed for Real Madrid, but Iraola may be suffering still by the void left by the Spaniard.
Stuart Pearce also in disbelief at Bournemouth tactics
Speaking to the Premier League, [2 November], Stuart Pearce was in agreement with Robinson at half-time over Bournemouth’s defending.
“You can’t believe they’re second in the Premier League defending the way they did in the game today,” Pearce said.
“When you play against Haaland do not cede space behind your backline, and they stepped out at the wrong times. They’ll score again and again if you keep doing that.”
