Andre Onana and Zirkzee react to Antony’s farewell message after confirmed exit news
Antony had posted an emotional farewell message on social media after a successful loan spell at Real Betis.
The Brazilian winger joined Betis on loan from Man United in January without an option or obligation to buy, but quickly made his mark in Spain, becoming a fan favourite in a matter of weeks.
During his short time at the club, he scored nine goals across all competitions—five of those coming in La Liga—matching the total number of Premier League goals he managed in two and a half seasons at Old Trafford.
Despite his strong form in Spain, the 25-year-old is widely expected to leave Old Trafford permanently this summer. However, Man United are set to take a considerable loss on Antony, as they’re seeking around £30 million for him, significantly less than the £86m fee they paid for him in 2022.
As his loan comes to an end, Antony took the opportunity to thank the fans in Seville for their support with a heartfelt message, drawing plenty of reaction as speculation over his next move continues.

Antony sends emotional goodbye to Real Betis fans as Man United prepare sale
Despite reviving his form during a successful loan spell in Spain, Antony has shared a heartfelt farewell message with Real Betis supporters as his time at the club comes to an end.
The Brazilian winger posted an ‘open letter’ on Instagram, writing: “Many thanks for this magical season. My people. My world. Too much Betis. Always!”
The post earned plenty of reaction with Andre Onana, Joshua Zirkzee and Man United’s newest signing Matheus Cunha all liking the post.
Football Insider revealed on 6 May, Man United have no intention of offering Antony another opportunity at Old Trafford and are now looking to cash in on him this summer.
However, it remains to be seen whether Betis will meet United’s asking price, despite the 25-year-old’s resurgence at the club.
Although Antony struggled in the final against Chelsea, he was instrumental in Betis’ journey to the Conference League final. He scored twice and registered an assist over two legs in the semi-final against Fiorentina, finishing with seven goal contributions across the knockout stages.
Man United eye Bryan Mbeumo but face Newcastle competition

With Antony potentially joining Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho on the list of wingers linked with a summer exit, United are expected to bring in reinforcements. Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo has been linked with a potential move.
However, Football Insider revealed that Newcastle United are currently leading the race for Mbeumo‘s signature ahead of a summer move.
Ruben Amorim’s side remain interested and are prepared to rival Newcastle’s approach, but the Magpies’ ability to offer Champions League football may prove decisive in Mbeumo’s final decision.
