Andrea Cambiaso to Man City: £60m last-gasp deal – sources

Man City have made Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso a top target for the final week of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

City and manager Pep Guardiola have identified a versatile full-back as a priority as they look to continue their big spending.

Cambiaso, 24, of Juventus has been monitored but it is believed the Serie A giants could hold out for between £50-60million this month.

The Turin club are reluctant to part with the Italy international before the 3 February deadline and sources say it “won’t be an easy deal to do”.

Cambiaso is primarily a left-back but can also play at right-back as well as in central midfield.

He has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Juventus this season, starting in 22 of those outings.

The versatile ace has notched two goals and two assists in those outings.

He came through the ranks with Genoa and joined Juventus in 2022, before going on loan to Bologna for the 2022-23 campaign.

Cambiaso, who is both-footed, made his Italy debut in March 2024 and has scored two goals in 13 appearances for his country.

The 24-year-old is under contract with Juventus until June 2029.
