Andy Couzens revealed his delight on Twitter after Leeds confirmed that goalkeeper Rob Green would remain at Elland Road until the summer of 2018.
The 37-year-old was previously contracted to remain at Elland Road until this summer, but has now seen his stay extended after triggering an appearance-related clause in his previous deal.
Leeds revealed the news on their official website and other media sources that the veteran England international is set to remain the Yorkshire giants’ number one for another season.

Championship top scorer Chris Wood stretched his lead at the top of the goalscoring rankings by scoring both goals, as Garry Monk’s men consolidated their place in the play-offs.
Wood took his tally to 24 league goals and 27 in all competitions with an inch-perfect header just after the hour mark, before firing home a penalty late on to exact revenge on Brighton.
Green, who made his 600th league appearance earlier this season with Leeds after spells with Norwich, West Ham and QPR, has played in all 38 league games this season for Monk’s side.
He is set to remain crucial in the Whites’ hunt for promotion and could return to the Premier League for the first time since 2014-15 after signing a new deal, if Leeds gain promotion.
In other Leeds news, Monk has revealed this unusual ritual ahead of Wood’s penalty.
