Andy Couzens posts Twitter verdict on Leeds draw v QPR, names danger team

By Will Butcher

Former Leeds player Andy Couzens has remained optimistic on Twitter despite Leeds’ frustrating 0-0 draw against QPR on Saturday.

Garry Monk’s side failed to break down the Londoners at Elland Road, as Leeds looked to consolidate their promotion place with all three points.

Couzens remained upbeat on his personal Twitter account, stating that his old side are still in a “great position” but is wary of Fulham who he claims are the “form team”.

Ian Holloway’s side frustrated Leeds fans and players alike, as they sat behind the ball with the intention of defending in numbers.

Although remaining in fourth after Reading and Sheffield Wednesday lost to Preston and Aston Villa respectively, Monk’s former Champions League side have lost ground to third-placed Huddersfield after they beat Brentford.

Fans will also be looking over their shoulder at sixth-placed Fulham, who continue to steamroll their way into the Championship promotion picture after a 3-1 win against Newcastle.

The Whites next face automatic promotion contenders Brighton on Saturday, with Chris Hughton’s side set to provide a tough test to Leeds after beating Derby 3-0 on Friday night.

In other Leeds news, fans have reacted on Twitter after Luke Ayling picked up his tenth yellow card of the season against QPR.
