Andy Robertson 'caught out' as Liverpool footage analysed - pundit
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson was “caught out” for Tottenham’s goal on Saturday, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Spurs and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 28-year-old was “at fault” after covering in the unfamiliar right-back position for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Luis Diaz’s goal rescued a point for Liverpool but the result ultimately puts Man City in a commanding position with only three games of the season remaining.
Pep Guardiola’s side are three points clear at the top of the Premier League ahead of their trip to Wolves on Wednesday night.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his breakdown of Liverpool’s defending for Son’s goal, Robinson said: “Robertson got caught out, he did.

“You can analyse goals all day long and lay blame at a number of players doors. It’s never just down to one mistake or one individual though.
“The way Liverpool defend, the system that they play, you will occasionally get exposed on the break. Yes, Robertson was at fault for the goal but it was a tough one to defend because he was on the wrong side.
“Spurs were looking for that one goal. They were sitting deep in that low block. They had a game plan and they executed it. It was a courageous draw.”
