‘Andy Robertson has made Liverpool transfer decision, that’s what I’m hearing’
Andy Robertson is set to be replaced as Liverpool’s first-choice left-back with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez arriving at Anfield.
The Scotland international, 31, has attracted interest from Spanish club Atletico Madrid, fuelling rumours of a Reds departure.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (17 June) that Liverpool would weigh up a permanent immediate exit for long-serving full-back – who is set to enter the final year of his contract.
Robertson made the switch to Liverpool back in 2017, moving from Hull City for a fee of around £8million.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has revealed what he’s heard on the left-back’s Reds future.

Atletico Madrid to decline Robertson move, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness has claimed he expects Atletico Madrid to decline a move for Robertson due to his age.
The Scotland international turned 31 in March and showed clear signs of decline in the 2024-25 campaign.
Wyness claimed Atleti are trying to reduce the age of Diego Simeone’s squad.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “The Liverpool fans I’ve spoken to would like to see him stay if possible.
“From Atletico’s point of view, I’m a little bit surprised because they’ve been looking to try and get the age range of the squad back down again. Of course, that wouldn’t be the case with Andy coming in.
“It would make the rivalry with Trent at Real Madrid an interesting derby.
“I’m hearing that he’s probably going to stay and as I say, don’t think Atletico are necessarily the willing buyers that every thinks they are because of the age factor.
“I think he’d do well at Atletico. I see Lucas Digne has also been linked in the same position, but I think Andy’s got a few more goals in him than Lucas Digne and I think that might suit the Spanish style a little bit more.
“Ultimately, I think he’s going to end up staying at Liverpool at the moment.”

Liverpool ‘concerned’ over Real Madrid’s Konate interest
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (18 June) that Liverpool are “slightly concerned” about Real Madrid’s interest in defender Ibrahima Konate.
The Reds have already been stung by Real with Alexander-Arnold joining in recent weeks after running down his contract at Anfield.
Sources say Liverpool have held talks with Konate but nothing has been agreed with the France international.
