Caoimhin Kelleher had a positive message for Liverpool fans after winning the Merseyside derby amid speculation surrounding his future.

Liverpool secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton in the Merseyside derby, with Diogo Jota scoring the decisive goal in the second half.

Kelleher started in goal after Alisson was sidelined with a head injury sustained while playing for Brazil. As he has done many times before, the Irishman stepped up, delivering a composed performance and keeping a clean sheet.

Football Insider has revealed that Bournemouth are considering a move for Kelleher this summer as they assess their options in the goalkeeper position.

While the Cherries have expressed an interest in the Irish shot-stopper, Bournemouth’s priority remains Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has revived his career this season.

However, competition for the Republic of Ireland international is heating up, with Football Insider also revealing that Chelsea are prepared to meet Liverpool’s asking price for Kelleher as they look to solve their ongoing goalkeeping issues.

The 26-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer, and with no progress on an extension, a departure is looking increasingly likely.
