Andy Robertson sends ‘amazing’ farewell message after confirmed Liverpool exit news
Andy Robertson left an emotional message on social media dedicated to his Liverpool teammate who will leave the club this summer.
The Scotland international has endured a challenging season under new manager Arne Slot, with speculation mounting over the club bringing in a new left-back ahead of the next campaign.
Robertson has even faced criticism from Liverpool fans, with some calling for him to be moved on due to inconsistent performances.
For years, Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been mainstays in Liverpool’s defence, playing key roles during the club’s most successful period in recent history. But that era is now drawing to a close.
Alexander-Arnold is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season when his contract expires, with the final fixture on 25 May marking his last appearance in a red shirt as the club prepares to lift the Premier League title.
His long-time teammate on the opposite flank, Robertson, shared a heartfelt tribute to the England international, marking the end of an era at Anfield.

The left-back shared multiple images of himself and Alexander-Arnold on Instagram, showing the pair celebrating together over the years and reflecting on the success they’ve achieved at Liverpool.
Robertson also posted a heartfelt caption that read:
“My brother, where to even start! It has been an absolute privilege watching you grow from a boy to a man over these last 8 years. You have won it all and created amazing memories along the way. I want to thank you for constantly pushing me to new limits and setting the bar so high that I had no choice but to follow.
“You are going to be a huge miss around the training ground and an even bigger miss on the pitch. I hope all the hard work you have put into this club, the moments you have given us and the massive contribution you have made are recognised as they should be.
“Wingmen one last time.”
The post was liked by multiple teammates such as Cody Gakpo, Ibrahima Konate and Alexander-Arnold himself.
Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold was booed by sections of the Liverpool support following a substitute appearance against Arsenal on 11 May, but the bond within the squad clearly remains strong.
Despite some fan frustration, it’s evident that Robertson still holds deep respect for the full-back partner who has been instrumental in Liverpool’s success during their time together.

Liverpool identify replacements for Andy Robertson and Alexander-Arnold
With Alexander-Arnold’s exit confirmed, the club have acted swiftly to secure reinforcements. Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong is closing in on a move to Liverpool, offering a ready-made option at right-back.
However, it’s not just the right flank that could see change.
Football Insider reports that Liverpool are also ready to meet Bournemouth’s asking price for Milos Kerkez, with talks expected to accelerate in the coming days.
Kerkez has long been viewed as a potential successor to Robertson amid growing concerns over the Scotland international’s long-term role.
Now, as a new era continues under Slot, the club appear to be preparing for major changes on both sides of their defence.
