Andy Robertson: Update on new Liverpool contract after turnaround
Liverpool have yet to offer defender Andy Robertson a new contract despite his impressive recent return to the team, sources have told Football Insider.
Robertson’s current deal at Anfield expires at the end of the season, casting some doubt over his future on Merseyside.
Following Milos Kerkez’s summer move from Bournemouth, the Scot spent the opening stages of the campaign as backup to the Hungarian, but has returned to the starting lineup in the last two games.
However, despite reasserting his authority as first-choice left back in Arne Slot’s side, sources say that Liverpool have still not opened talks with Robertson regarding a contract extension.

Andy Robertson attracting interest as Liverpool saga rumbles on
While his Liverpool future remains in the balance, Robertson is already being linked with the likes of Celtic.
The Scotland international came through the Hoops academy before being released in 2009 as he was deemed to be “too small”.
Atletico Madrid had a strong interest in Robertson last summer but he opted to see out the final year of his contract on Merseyside.
During his eight years at Liverpool, Robertson has won two Premier League titles and a Champions League, among many other accolades.
Liverpool could lose another defender
Meanwhile, Liverpool are fearing the worst regarding Ibrahima Konate and a transfer to Real Madrid, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, meaning he is able to agree pre-contract terms with Xabi Alonso’s side from 1 January.
Last month, Football Insider revealed that Konate was edging closer to a Liverpool exit with talks between player and club failing to progress.
Sources say that negotiations over a new contract for the French centre-back are still “deadlocked” with time now running out for Slot’s side.
