Sky Sports’ Scottish football pundit Andy Walker has offered his prediction for the upcoming Celtic versus St Johnstone clash at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column on the Sky Sports website, the former Hoops striker is tipping a win for the Bhoys.
He believes that Brendan Rodgers’ side with defeat the Saints 2-0, and his pick for key man is the new arrival from Dundee Jack Hendry, who he claims will “play more often” due to there being “so many injuries at the heart of Celtic`s defence”.
To date, Hendry has only played one match for the Hoops, the 1-0 defeat against Kilmarnock, but there seems every chance of him being involved in the Europa League clash against Zenit on Thusday night.
The Hoops could well play a much changed side at Parkhead on Sunday, as the match falls in-between both legs of the aforementioned tie against the Russian side.
The match between the Hoops and Tommy Wright’s side, is set to be the third meeting of the sides so far this season.
A late Callum McGregor equaliser saved a point for the Hoops in a 1-1 draw in August, whilst the 4-0 victory in Perth in November saw the Bhoys set a new British record of 63 domestic matches without defeat, a run that eventually stretched to 69 matches.
