Ange Postecoglou: Celtic told to get ready for Premier League interest – Mills
Premier League clubs will begin to take an interest in Ange Postecoglou if he can make Celtic a success in the Champions League, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England and Man City defender played down Postecoglou’s achievements thus far with Celtic.
Rory Smith of the New York Times told the BBC last week (4 April) that there are plenty of admirers of the 56-year-old within Man City.

Before taking over at Parkhead, Postecoglou spent over three years at City’s sister club Yokohama F. Marinos and guided them to a J-League title.
Asked whether English clubs could take an interest in the Australian, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I’m not sure yet.
“He’s brought in a lot of players that he knew, players from Asia.
“People still accept and understand that the level of the Scottish Premiership is not that of the Premier League.
“Celtic were in a decent place. They weren’t a million miles off it, they had a good squad of players.
“Realistically it’s still only a two-team league. Rangers have dropped off a little bit, losing Steven Gerrard was a big blow for them.
“Celtic have improved a little bit, Rangers have dropped off a little bit. It appears as if it is a bigger swing than it is.

“They will want to see how he does in the Champions League first and see what his recruitment is like with another window.
“They just need to see a little bit more longevity. Because Rangers have dropped off a little bit it doesn’t tell the whole story.”
In other news, Celtic are in line for a ‘huge’ windfall of ‘£45million’ after a ‘brilliant’ development and have been told to ‘thank Rangers’.
