Ange Postecoglou: Daniel Levy makes Tottenham sack decision – ‘It’s done’
Ange Postecoglou will be sacked by Tottenham regardless of whether they win the Europa League, according to the club’s former scout.
Mick Brown, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Blackburn and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that Daniel Levy has already made the decision behind the scenes.
Now, the only remaining decision to make is whether the 59-year-old is given the opportunity to see out the season with just six league games left to play.
Levy has also begun assessing potential replacements, with decisions to be made about the direction they want to go in after Postecoglou’s departure.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Postecoglou is among the favourites to be sacked come the end of the season.
It had also been suggested the manager’s position has now become untenable after a breakdown in his relationship with the club and the fans.

Ange Postecoglou to be sacked as Daniel Levy eyes replacements
Brown told Football Insider on 7 April that Postecoglou has broken the “golden rule” at Tottenham after recent clashes with the supporters.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience working closely with top-level managers including the likes of Ron Atkinson and Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United, has insisted that Levy is now preparing a decision about the boss’ replacement.
“The pressure has been on Postecoglou all season,” he told Football Insider.
“Every week people are speculating about when he will be sacked and at this stage it feels inevitable that he will go at some stage.
“Daniel Levy knows what he’s going to do, he’s made the decision already behind the scenes and for all intents and purposes it’s done.
“Whether that is officially announced now or at the end of the season is the only question.
“I think they’ll give him that chance to win the Europa League, but even that won’t save him now.
“Now that decision has been made, I’m told they’ve already been looking for his replacement.
“They’ve got plenty of ideas on that, the direction they want to go in and who they want to get, but it comes down to that decision-making process.
“Levy has this high turnover of managers, and he’ll know what he’s doing, now it’s a case of wait and see.”

Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva on Daniel Levy’s list at Tottenham
As Levy begins weighing up potential replacements for Postecoglou, a number of options have already emerged on their radar.
Brown told Football Insider in March that Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is Tottenham’s top target after an impressive season at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries are currently 10th in the Premier League and remain just three points shy of European qualification with seven games left to play.
Meanwhile, Fulham’s Marco Silva is also on Spurs’ list of options and has impressed on a modest budget at Craven Cottage, appealing to the Tottenham hierarchy.
