‘Ange Postecoglou is delusional’ – Tottenham fans erupt as manager ‘finished’

Tottenham fans have taken to social media to vent their frustration at Ange Postecoglou following his post-match comments after their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

Tottenham were eliminated from the FA Cup after goals from Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers secured Aston Villa’s place in the next round.

New signing Mathys Tel pulled one back late on, but it wasn’t enough to prevent back-to-back domestic cup exits for Postecoglou’s side.

Tottenham fans previously put Postecoglou under pressure after their 4-1 aggregate loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final earlier in the week. With only the Europa League left as a realistic chance to end their long trophy drought, frustration among supporters is growing.

Daniel Levy continues to back Ange Postecoglou

After Tottenham’s FA Cup exit, Postecoglou dismissed criticism of his team’s performances, calling it “agenda-driven.”

When asked about the team’s packed schedule and mounting injury problems, he responded:

“It can’t be that people think that is an excuse. That’s just not anywhere near close to objective analysis. That’s just agenda-driven stuff.”

Football Insider has reported that Tottenham remain fully behind Postecoglou despite growing pressure, believing results will improve once key players return.

Spurs supporters have previously called for Postecoglou’s dismissal after embarrassing losses to Everton and Leicester City. However, with the club now crashing out of two domestic competitions in one week, tensions are rising.

While the board may still back him, the fans are losing patience, and his comments have only added fuel to the fire.

Tottenham fans furious with Postecoglou comments

Spurs currently sit 16 points adrift of the Champions League spots and are struggling to find form.

The squad has been hit hard by injuries, with key players like James Maddison, Cristian Romero, and Radu Dragusin all sidelined. Following Dragusin’s injury, frustrated Spurs fans even claimed the club was “cursed” due to their never-ending injury struggles.

Despite the difficult circumstances, results have been poor, with the North London side losing five of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Fans have taken issue with Postecoglou’s refusal to acknowledge the criticism, with one supporter asking, “Is he delusional?” and another stating the team is “perfectly justified” in being scrutinised for their performances. Others have called his remarks “even more reason” for him to be sacked, as patience among the fanbase continues to wear thin.
