‘Ange Postecoglou is getting sacked tonight’ – Tottenham fans explode

Ange Postecoglou has to be sacked at Tottenham following the North London derby defeat to Arsenal, fans insisted after the game.

Spurs initially took the lead against the run of play through Heung-Min Son, but Arsenal struck back twice in the first half via a Dominic Solanke own goal and a Leandro Trossard winner.

During the game, Postecoglou was visibly furious after a contentious officiating error led to the corner that resulted in Arsenal’s equalising goal. While the decision understandably frustrated the manager, it didn’t shield him from criticism.

Following the derby loss, fans expressed their anger not only with the result but also with the team’s performance, especially given it marked a second defeat to their rivals this season.

Tottenham fans have made their frustration known to Ange Postecoglou

Pressure is mounting on Postecoglou as Tottenham languish in 13th place, following yet another defeat to a top side. The team’s poor league form is becoming an increasing concern among supporters.

The coach managed to survive calls for his sacking back in December, after a crushing defeat to Liverpool left fans questioning his suitability for the job.

However, the club’s hierarchy continues to back Postecoglou despite the disappointing results and inconsistent performances in the league.

Their season has been plagued by a series of injuries, which have undeniably disrupted their momentum. Given these challenges, it’s perhaps understandable that the board is granting the manager some leeway and supporting him in the transfer market.

Still, supporters took to social media to question Postecoglou’s tactics and ability to handle high-pressure matches, further piling on the scrutiny surrounding the team’s poor league form.

One fan questioned the decision to not start James Maddison and said “Who in his right mind starts [Yves] Bissouma over Maddison?” and they should “think about the future without Ange”.

Many joined in and have said to “Get Ange out” with one wanting his sacking as early as the same night.
