Ange Postecoglou sack belief grows amid ‘major’ update on Marco Silva at Fulham
Ange Postecoglou looks to be on the brink of being sacked at Tottenham with a new update emerging on Marco Silva’s future at Fulham.
Fulham boss Silva has regularly been linked with the Spurs job, with the Lilywhites falling to 15th in the Premier League table while the Cottagers remain just six points off sixth-place Chelsea in the table.
Thomas Frank of Brentford is another name on the list of potential candidates, but with the Europa League title still to fight for this season, there has not yet been a decision made on the manager’s future.
That could all change over the coming weeks, however, with Silva only continuing to prove himself as a stellar manager following his team’s 3-2 win over Liverpool, and European qualification could make Daniel Levy’s decision for him.

Ange Postecoglou sack decision to be made amid Marco Silva links
According to The Mirror (14 April), there is a growing belief that Postecoglou could be sacked this summer, even if Spurs are to win the Europa League title in Bilbao.
It is understood that Fulham will face a “major battle” to keep Silva at Craven Cottage if Levy comes knocking at the end of the season.
Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner and Andoni Iraola of Bournemouth are also both in the frame to replace the Australian, who continues to take pelters from the supporters due to his team’s performances.
Fulham are expected to be “determined” to keep Silva in West London, but with the Cherries “pulling out all the stops” to keep Iraola in place, and Glasner also linked to the likes of RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, it could be the Portuguese that proves to be the chosen one at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the near-future.

Daniel Levy has obvious decision to make over Ange Postecoglou
Football Insider verdict
Injuries have certainly played a massive role in Spurs’ campaign, with the likes of Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Dejan Kulusevski facing extended spells on the sidelines.
However, there are only so many times this can be used as an excuse before it starts to wear thin, and with Postecoglou refusing to make any changes to Tottenham’s tactics, his reasons are just inexcusable.

Supporters are bored to death of hearing their manager make up excuses for why the Lilywhites are suffering so much on the pitch, leaving Levy with no other choice but to part ways with him this summer.
Even if the Europa League title is brought back to North London, with Man United, Lazio and Rangers all still left in the competition, the divide between manager and fans is just too far to navigate.
Silva, who has shown his ambition multiple times with moves to bigger clubs, would be an ideal fit at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, even if Postecoglou breaks the drought of trophies for Spurs.
