Ange Postecoglou sack latest: ‘One more chance to save your job’
Ange Postecoglou is fighting for his job at Tottenham after a dismal first half of the season in the Premier League.
Spurs are currently 12th in the Premier League table after 25 games, with Ipswich Town being their next fixture on Saturday (23 February).
Position | Team | Played | GD | Points |
10. | Brighton | 25 | 0 | 37 |
11. | Brentford | 25 | +1 | 34 |
12. | Tottenham | 25 | +12 | 30 |
13. | Crystal Palace | 25 | -3 | 30 |
14. | Everton | 25 | -4 | 30 |
15. | Man United | 25 | -7 | 29 |
On top of that, Spurs were also knocked out of the EFL Cup and the FA Cup within the space of a week, leaving the Europa League as their only chance to win a trophy this season.
Postecoglou has been dealing with an injury nightmare throughout this season, with consistent problems meaning he’s rarely had his first-choice team available to him.
Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romero, Wilson Odobert, Radu Dragusin, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, Destiny Udogie, Brennan Johnson, and Timo Werner are all currently unavailable to Postecoglou.
Tottenham welcomed James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario back to the squad for their most recent game against Man United, which resulted in a 1-0 win.

Ange Postecoglou ‘not done’ at Tottenham as new details emerge
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who remains closely connected to the football club, revealed Postecoglou will get “one opportunity” when his squad is fit.
“Ange is not done,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“He’s got one opportunity when his players come back.
“When he gets all his players back, if results don’t change, that’s when you start talking about his future.
“There’s a situation at Tottenham at the moment where [they were] obviously knocked out of both cup competitions within a week.
“If he was going to go, he’d go then.”

Daniel Levy is looking at other options
Industry insider Mick Brown backed up Robinson’s belief by telling Football Insider that Postecoglou will remain at Tottenham for the time being due to the ongoing injury crisis.
Postecoglou might be set to get some more time in charge of Spurs, but Daniel Levy is already looking ahead to who might be the next manager.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness revealed to Football Insider that Tottenham will be looking to stick with the “attacking football blueprint” that Postecoglou has established during his time at the club.
