‘Ange Postecoglou sack on the way after damning Daniel Levy move’
Daniel Levy’s recent actions are thought to have put Ange Postecoglou’s future as Tottenham manager in major danger.
The 59-year-old lived up to his promise of winning silverware in his second season in North London, leading Spurs to the Europa League title ahead of Man United in Bilbao last week.
Despite the team’s success in Europe, the Lilywhites finished the season 17th in the Premier League table following a 4-1 defeat to Brighton on the final day, leaving the owner with a difficult decision to make.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Postecoglou is likely to be given a fresh start at Tottenham next season, with the boss backed during the summer transfer window.
Levy’s actions, however, might tell a different story, and Richard Keys believes that the decision will be made to sack the Australian before the 2025/26 campaign kicks off in August, and may already have been.

Daniel Levy to sack Ange Postecoglou before 2025/26
Writing on his personal blog (26 May), Keys said: “Daniel Levy’s silence is damning. Ange won’t be in charge in August. Nor should he be. I backed him for a long time this season
“And he did really well delivering a trophy – but those who want him out were right – and they’ll get their way, I’m sure. Levy won’t make the same mistake the Jim Reaper [Sir Jim Ratcliffe] and the brains trust did with [Erik] Ten Hag.”

Tottenham to make multiple changes after Europa League win
Football Insider verdict
Levy sent a message to Postecoglou ahead of the final-day clash against Brighton, but that only threw more doubt over the manager’s position at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The criticism that he has received throughout the 2024/25 campaign has been understandable and also reasonably fair, that was until some of those fans became abusive on social media.
Postecoglou has done his very best in North London this season, battling against multiple waves of injuries, and not really being supported by the owner during the winter transfer window.

Spurs ended the season with Radu Dragusin, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Lucas Bergvall all stuck on the sidelines, still able to lift a European trophy.
Of course, the team’s form in the Premier League and domestic competitions cannot be ignored, but given his achievements elsewhere, it would seem like a daft decision not to back him next season.
Levy has also been backed into a corner after the manager suggested an even more successful campaign for Spurs, and if he can bring in more talent this summer, there is no reason why that cannot become reality.
