With the Europa League campaign starting so early in the summer, then an early elimination sould see the Gers arrange further games.
Gers fans have enjoyed trips to the likes of Derby and Sheffield Wednesday in recent seasons – and still hold the attendance record at Derby’s Pride Park stadium.
The Light Blues return to training on June 15th before flying out to Spain two days later for a training camp in Andalusia.
Gerrard’s first competitive game will be on July 12th when the Gers play in the first qualifying round of the Europa League – with their opponents still to be confirmed.
