Annoyed Ruben Amorim requesting ‘shocking’ January Man United transfer
Ruben Amorim is enduring another dismal start to the season at Man United with questions asked about his long-term future in the job.
Man United’s 3-1 defeat to Brentford highlighted a number of recurring issues in the side, alongside growing concerns about whether those issues will be fixed.
Man United have begun considering replacements for Amorim already as the pressure continues to build, with a number of names said to be on their radar.
However, the boss is already planning ahead of the January transfer window, with a number of key positions on his radar to improve the squad.
One of those positions is in goal, where Amorim plans to strengthen on top of Altay Bayindir and Senne Lammens by signing a new number one.

Man United plotting new goalkeeper signing in January
As a result of their ongoing defensive frustrations, Amorim has now set his sights on the addition of a new goalkeeper ahead of the January transfer window.
Man United had prioritised a top goalkeeper signing in the summer, but missed out on signing Emiliano Martinez and will now look for another firm number one.
That is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown, who spent over a decade at Old Trafford during the club’s most successful period, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Amorim has made the “shocking” call to target a new shot-stopper already.
“Amorim’s still going on about the goalkeeper,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s not been happy with how Bayindir is performing, and I’m told he doesn’t trust Lammens to go straight into the starting XI yet.
“That in itself is ridiculous, I can’t understand why he would have given the green light to sign a goalkeeper who he doesn’t think is good enough to play.

“I think it’s more an indictment on Amorim and the recruitment team than the players if they can’t bring in somebody who will improve the starting XI.
“So now he’s demanding they go and sign a new goalkeeper in January, it’s just shocking to be honest, I can’t wrap my head around it.
“Yes, they wanted a firm number-one goalkeeper, and that’s what they’re going to be looking for, but why did they go and get Lammens?”
With pressure growing on Amorim as well as his goalkeepers, he is now scrambling to improve an area which he failed to strengthen in the summer window.
Altay Bayindir leaves Ruben Amorim ‘raging’ at Old Trafford
Speculation about potential goalkeeping reinforcements began at United before the start of the summer, as Amorim was not happy with his current options.
Onana moved to Turkish outfit Trabzonspor on loan as he didn’t figure in the manager’s plans, but Amorim was raging at Bayindir after his displays against Arsenal and Fulham.
Questions have also been asked about the goalkeeper’s latest display against Brentford as frustrations continue to grow at Old Trafford.
Amorim confirmed Bayindir is his first-choice goalkeeper as Lammens still has to improve before becoming a regular in his starting XI.
However, his decisions have raised more questions than answers, with United’s ongoing issues both on and off the pitch highlighted once again.
