Another Wolves star set to fly out for medical after multi-million bid accepted
Wolves had a highly active winter window, which saw many players join and leave the Old Gold club.
The most notable sale was that of Jorgen Strand Larsen, who departed Molineux for Crystal Palace in a record deal for the Eagles.
However, despite the transfer window closing on Monday, further departures are expected at the Black Country club.
Recently, it was confirmed that Wolves had agreed to part with Emmanuel Agbadou, with the centre-back struggling for form this season.
Now, Jhon Arias looks set to join the defender in a post-window departure, with Palmeiras agreeing a deal for the winger.
Jhon Arias set for Palmeiras medical as £21.7m deal is agreed
According to ESPN Brazil on 5 February, Wolves and Palmeiras have now agreed on a £21.7million fee for Arias.
While Arias’ impending move to Palmeiras had been previously reported, the article also confirms that the 28-year-old has signed a term of commitment at the Brazilian club and is set to fly out for a medical next week.
The winger is expected to sign a four-year deal, leaving Wolves after only moving to England in the summer from Fluminense.
There is said to be a verbal agreement between Jhon Arias and Palmeiras.

Arias has made 23 Premier League appearances for Rob Edwards’ side this season, scoring once and providing zero assists.
Where has it gone wrong for Arias at Wolves?
While Arias has put in some good performances for Wolves, these were few and far between, with the winger arguably being the most disappointing flop from the Old Gold’s summer signings.
The 28-year-old arrived at Molineux with a lot of promise after impressing in the summer’s Club World Cup.
However, for most of the season, Arias has been simply awful for Wolves, failing to provide a consistent goal threat.
According to Fotmob on 6 February, per 90 minutes, he is underperforming his xG by 0.18, only hitting the target 0.24 times, completing just 0.64 successful dribbles and creating just 0.88 chances.
| Jhon Arias’ Premier League stats this season | Per 90 minutes |
| Goals | 0.08 |
| xG | 0.26 |
| Shots | 1.28 |
| Shots on target | 0.24 |
| Successful dribbles | 0.64 |
| Chances created | 0.88 |
Therefore, it is of little surprise that Edwards is happy to cash in on the Colombia international, even though his form has improved in recent weeks.
Perhaps the biggest surprise from the deal is that Wolves are actually set to make a profit on Arias, with the winger only signing for £17.4m in the summer.
