Anthony Gordon responds to Marc Guehi amid Newcastle and Liverpool latest
Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon has reacted to Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi amid ongoing transfer speculation around the duo.
Both enjoyed impressive individual campaigns to help their sides end long trophy droughts, and have attracted transfer interest from elsewhere in the process, which could see them link up at club.
Newcastle have apparently now turned their attention to targets other than Guehi, after previously making several bids for the England international.
However, Football Insider understands that the Crystal Palace man has since revealed that he is keen to join Liverpool, potentially still opening the door for this particular link up.

Anthony Gordon responds to Marc Guehi update
As well as Guehi, it is believed that Liverpool have also shown an interest in Gordon ahead of the summer, in a move which would bring the former Everton man back to Merseyside.
Now the Newcastle winger appears to have dropped a hint that he would be pleased to link up with Guehi again, as the pair have done previously for England.
With many players currently on their summer break, Guehi recently took to Instagram to share a series of images from a trip to New York.
Gordon was then among those to respond to that post, with the Newcastle star commenting with an applause emoji as well as liking.
Liverpool could benefit from double deal if exits happen
Football Insider Verdict
With Jarell Quansah set for a move to Bayer Leverkusen, the signing of Guehi to add to the central defensive options would be a smart move, given how good an option he has proven to be at this level.
Meanwhile, there has also been talk that Liverpool could sell Luis Diaz for the right price this summer, amid interest from elsewhere.
If that was to happen, the signing of Gordon would help to fill the void there would be on the left-hand side of their attack.
With Guehi in the final year of his contract, Crystal Palace could be open to selling him to avoid the risk of losing him for free this time next year.
By contrast, Gordon has plenty of time to go on his deal with Newcastle, so they will be less willing to sell, especially as they will want to keep key players ahead of their return to the Champions League.
