Anthony Martial may return to Man United starting XI after key update – pundit
Anthony Martial will be like a new signing for Man United this season.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Frenchman’s future.
Martial, 26, has caught the eye during the Red Devils’ pre-season, with three goals to his name in four appearances.

According to The Athletic‘s Laurie Whitwell (21 July), such performances have led the club to u-turn on the striker’s future.
He is out of contract in the summer of 2023 but the Red Devils have the option to extend that deal for another 12 months.
Kenny is backing Martial to continue scoring once the season starts.
“I would like to think that everyone has a clean slate now the new manager has come in,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He is going to go out there and impress. We know he can be a brilliant player on his day. I’m sure if Ten Hag can get the best out of him then he will score goals.
“As I say, it’s a clean slate for everyone at the club. He needs to go out there and show everyone what he can do.
“Scoring those goals tells me that he is doing exactly that. He might be like a new signing for Man United if they can’t actually sign another striker.
“They might need him so it is encouraging to see him back amongst the goals because they might need him to start some games at the start of the season.”

Martial joined Sevilla in January but after a promising start, he failed to make the matchday squad in five of the Spanish side’s last six La Liga games of the 2021-22 season.
The France international has made 269 appearances for Man United since joining the club from Monaco in January 2015.
